UK Apps with Free Stocks
I’ve looked at and compared a number of investment platforms in the past on PFF so I won’t get into too much detail here. I just want to provide you with a list of my favourite stock trading platforms in the UK which offer a free stock for signing up.
It’s worth remembering that there is nothing to stop you signing up for accounts with all of these platforms to take advantage of the free stocks. You can then spend a bit of time with each and decide which is your preferred platform.
Stake were born in Australia and are now taking aim at the UK. They are a digital brokerage platform who specialise in US stocks. Making is easy for those in the UK to trade US stocks and shares at very low cost. They boast an impressive 3,700 US stocks and ETFs. More than any other commission-free investment platform available in the UK.

Trading 212 is another trading platform which focuses on commission-free trading. There’s also a very low barrier to entry as you can start trading with as little as £1. Like Stake, Trading 212 offer a large number of US stocks. Although they don’t have quite as many on offer. They do however also have a strong selection of UK stocks and ETFs.

Freetrade is another popular UK stock trading app. With US stocks available and also having recently launched fractional shares it’s certainly worth considering. While Freetrade doesn’t offer as many US stocks as Stake or Trading 212, it does offer UK stocks also. Again, as the name suggests, their is a strong focus here on commission-free stock trading.
